The accolades keep coming for Ryan Zimmerman, the first draft pick ever of the Washington Nationals. The Franchise added to his mantle of franchise records by hammering a lead-off home run in the second inning to collect his 906th career RBI. With that, Zimmerman surpassed Tim Wallach for the most RBIs in the Nationals-Montreal Expos franchise history.

Zimmerman now owns the franchise mark in home runs, RBIs, total bases, doubles, and extra base hits. He entered Wednesday’s contest with 1,618 hits which is 76 shy of Wallach for the franchise record. When it’s all said and done, Zimmerman will go down as the best offensive player in franchise history.
