John Wall is going hard this summer. The healthiest he has been during his pro career during the offseason, the four-time NBA All-Star is going through a series of workouts as part of a documentary produced by Balls Life. Alongside him is Jesse Phillips, who is part of the Wizards staff. Wall has trained boxing with former world champion Glen Johnson. During this time, Wall took time to participate in the Miami Pro League recently.
Playing alongside fellow NBA All-Star James Harden, Wall put on a show judging from the videos being made public. During one video, Wall shows off his underrated handles, crossing up the defender with a sequence that including him dropping a behind-the-back crossover before finishing with a layup.
There appeared to be a lot of jarring throughout the contest (see video below). So, Wall made sure to put any debate to rest. At one point leaving the same defender by going between the defender’s leg before knocking down a pull-up jumper on the baseline.
With training camp less than two months away, it appears Wall is on a mission to lead the Wizards. Fresh off his newly signed four-year extension that’s worth $170 million, he is getting his body ready for the long haul of next season.
