Alex Ovechkin finally got on the boards in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Washington Capitals’ captain lit the lamp with a power play goal from his office on the faceoff circle in Game 2.
The Capitals worked the zone with the man advantage. T.J. Oshie got the puck on the side of the net before kicking it out to the awaiting Ovechkin, who ripped the puck through the net for his first goal of the playoffs.
The score tied the game at 1-1, as Washington is looking to jump out to a 2-0 series lead and maintain the home-ice advantage over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
