Just how in the world did that happen?
That’s the thinking of all Virginia fans, as London Perrantes drove to the lane for the potential go-ahead bucket only to see the ball rim out and get stuck on the back of the rim with 21.9 seconds remaining in overtime. The game was tied at 68-68.

The ball getting stuck on the rim forced a jump ball. The possession arrow awarded Virginia Tech possession, killing Virginia’s best shot at victory. The game went into double overtime. The Hokies would pull off the upset victory 80-78 in Blacksburg.
Twitter’s reaction was just as crazy as the shot getting stuck.

For No. 12 Virginia they were victims of a “tough bounce,” but then again they led by 14 points at halftime.
