Watch: Virginia Tech’s Jerod Evans barrels through Clemson’s defense for 11-yd TD

Jerod Evans makes two big plays along with help from Isaiah Ford

Virginia Tech quarterback Jerod Evans was on full display on the Hokies’ second touchdown of the game. First Evans found wide receiver Isaiah Ford down the sideline. Ford took care of the rest, shaking two Clemson defenders before getting inside and rolling down the field for a 53-yard gain.

Ford’s catch and run put the Hokies’ in the red zone at Clemson’s 17-yard line. The play set up Evans who barrelled into the end zone 11 yards out. He broke two tackles bouncing off the would-be tackles before reaching pay dirt.

After trailing 14-0 early, the Hokies’ resilience has them within arm reach of Clemson in the ACC Championship Game 21-14.
