John Wall said he was the best shot-blocking point guard in NBA history. He continues to back up that bold statement. Thursday night in the Washington Wizards’ 111-95 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Wall collected three blocks, including a chase down block on Brandon Ingram.
Ingram stands 6-foot-9 with a wingspan of 7-feet. But, that did not stop the 6-foot-4 Wall. Ingram raced down the court on a break, but the predator Wall just tracked Ingram down and swatted his shot from behind.
Wall has created a montage of blocks throughout his career. It’s easy to forget his just a point guard, and no not the taller variety.
Wall was putting on a full display against the Lakers. In addition to his block party, he put a seven-foot center on a poster.
