With their College Football Playoffs hopes on the line, Southern Cal went down hard. The Trojans got thumped by their rivals Notre Dame 49-14 in South Bend Saturday night. The blowout loss was tough to cope for former USC star and current Washington Redskins safety Su’a Cravens, who took to Twitter with his frustration.
In his rant he questioned the Trojans players heart. This is coming from the player who recently debated on retirement just one week before the NFL season started. Now the reason for his second-guessing is still unclear, but to fans (especially Redskins fans) his unstable commitment to the team is unacceptable. That is why when Cravens tweeted his thoughts about the Trojans’ hearts, the fans immediately ripped him. And it’s hard not to blame them.
Other tweets in reply stated, “Like you showed your heart with the skins.”
“Probably should have kept that thought to yourself. HTTR!”
Really show heart are we speaking on the same dude who decided to quit on his team we need u now with injuries on our roster “[angry emoji, zip it emoji].”
The responses were not all crushing to Cravens.
Cravens was talking straight from well, the heart. However, it is clear he did not think the chose of words through. Until an explanation (or acceptable one) is given to why he contemplated retirement out of the blue, there will be fans who will look to jump on his case at any chance they get.
